Five of the best: Lids from the personal collection - Shaggy

Five of the best: Lids from the personal collection

Over the past few years we've made our fair share of hats - actually, exactly 40 at the time of writing. While it's near impossible to narrow down the favourites (almost all could make a case for top 5), here's my attempt at the pick of the bunch:

5. Terry

This was part of our first big summer collection at the end of 2021. Our first dive into a woven front patch and it sure went down a treat. Not sure if it was the contrast stitching or the subtle washed umber tones but this Lid was well and truly gone by Christmas.

4. Alex

Not our first side tape, but definitely our best work. When first tried a side tape was a bit of an experiment in bringing back the old school. With the Alex, we knew it was a winner! We've since released 5 more side-taped lids and all but one have sold out. The only one with stock left is Thomas 5 Panel, and that's only because we released it a couple of weeks ago!

3. Surf Co

Ahhh the 90's two-tone. One of our signature styles. This was the first hat we released in this style, and it flew! Since then it's inspired a whole range of similar styled lids but this one has always stood out.

2. Bex

One of our latest drop, and one of the most versatile hats we've ever released. Since the sample first showed up this lid has been a backbone in my personal rotation. A subtle washed black single tone, so simple but I reckon we nailed it.

1. Monstera

There really could only be one, the very first piece of cord we ever released. We've sold more of these than any other Lid, with calls for a restock whenever it goes out of stock. Maybe it's the tones, maybe it's the nostalgia, but this one never fails to go alright.

Looking good!
